This paper discusses Vladimir Mayakovsky – poet, dramatist & darling of the Soviet proletariat, who shot himself in the heart at the age of 36. The author’s concern here is the psychological dimensions which underlie the prime interests of his life. States that the unconscious elements were the ones most instrumental in Mayakovsky’s suicide but not the only ooperative ones.
