2 age groups are studied, 1 8-14 years, & the other 14-17 years. In both groups more boys than girls commit suicide, but in the last group more girls than boys attempt suicide. None of the girls used hanging or strangulation, & 2/3 used coalgas. Of the boys, however, 1/5 used hanging or strangulation & only 1/3 coalgas.
