Administered the Zung Self-Rating Depression Scale, the Maudsley Personality Inventory & the Overcontrolled Hostility Scale to 8 male convicted murderers who had attempted suicide & 25 who had never considered it. The only significant differences found between the 2 groups were that subjects who had attempted suicide were more depressed & had had fewer previous convictions.
