The charts of 191 depressive females were reviewed: 105 were depressive spectrum patients (parental alcoholism or antisocial personality) & 86 were pure depression patients (parental depression). The pure depression patients were more likely to have loss of interest, less likely to recover without relapse & more likely to have had a parent who committed suicde. (RM)
