Teenage calls are a problem for many telephone crisis counsellors. Counsellors often prefer dealing with calls that they have been trained for such as suicide calls. The author emphasizes that a patient & accepting telephone counsellor is anonymous enough to release the caller’s inhibitions about voicing his or her problems.
