Report of the Task Force on Suicides to the Minister of Social Services and Community Health

This report deals with the incidence, causes & sequelae of suicide in Alberta & aims to direct research & make recommendations for the reduction of suicide rates in the province. The data are based on interviews with at least 154 persons, contacts with several agencies & organizations in Alberta, a review of no less than 128 articles & books on the subject, & 4 research projects e.g. analysis of Coroner’s files. Task Force recommendations include discussion of social policy, services & programs.
