This guide is designed to help teachers approach the subject of suicide with their classes: uncovering attitudes, removing the air of mystery and the feeling that suicide should not be discussed, focusing attention on the problem of suicide in the context of currently taught subjects, and replacing misconceptions with facts. The guide also suggests concepts, objectives, learning experiences and evaluative techniques that can be used in a unit on suicide prevention. (GW)
