The 2497 suicides and 2017 homicides occuring in Texas during the years 1959, 1960,and 1961 were correlated in several ways with the daily Zurich sunspot numbers. The effects of “rising” or “falling”, as well as “high” or “low” sunspot numbers on the frequencies of suicide and homicide were also examined. No significant relationships were found.
