The personal world-view is a constructive achievement of each individual’s life. The author identifies 5 broad belief clusters: supernaturalism, naturalism, vitalism, conservatism, & social realism. She then opposes the self-creative & self-destructive personalities. The latter involve a psychological death regressing to a state in which the self ceases to exist. A discussion of the 5 belief clusters in relation to self-destructiveness follows. (CC)
