The developing stages of suicidal impulse & the importance of utilizing the various groups of drugs in the most responding stages of suicide are discussed. Of 57 subjects, 36.8% were in the consideration stage, 52.9% were in the ambivalent stage, & about 10.5% were in the decision stage. A table is given to show which type of drug is most effective for each stage related symptomatology. It is pointed out that depressive states make up about half the mentally ill patients with suicidal impulses.
