The case of a suicide in a general hospital involves a patient with an unusual physical illness. This psychological autopsy attempts to reconstruct the patient’s life, stresses of his physical illness & his reaction to being sick. It illustrates the importance for liaison personnel to be acquainted with a wide scope of medical illnesses & their treatments & discusses the psychological sequelae of resp. illness.
