This article takes a look at the distressing phenomenom of adolescent suicide. Despair, hopelessness, anger, frustration, abandonment, & rejection are the basic feelings that cause suicide among adolescents. The author suggests a variety of reasons why adolescents are drawn to suicide. Certain variables known to increase the risk of suicide attempts by an adolescent are discussed. In addition, the warning signs of suicide are outlined, & suicide is looked at from a personal & community level.
