Stoudemire A~~et al
177 family physicians were surveyed regarding their perceptions of psychosocial problems encountered in their practice. Patients with “multiple somatic complaints” & “symptoms of emotional distress” were encountered most frequently. Although physicians surveyed felt that few of their patients were suicidal, 44% indicated a desire for education in the assessment & management of such patients. (JHC)
