Camus’ work is analyzed with reference to the idea of the individual’s isolation from society. It is argued that other writers, incapable of dealing with facism, committed physical suicide while Camus arrived at a suicide of the spirit. Life is absurd, he concluded & therefore the nature of man is absurd. The absurd becomes the key category in posing & resolving all other philosophical problems.
