This article reports an attempt by an educator to influence the policies of a major record company in response to a suicide by a young boy who attempted to imitate Alice Cooper’s mock suicide performance. The plea to Warner Brothers Records, to exercise corporate responsibility in their influence on peoples’ attitudes and behaviours initially provoked a negative response.
