Suicidal Ideation and Behavior in Youthful Nonpsychiatric Populations

This research study quantifies the incidence of unreported serious suicide ideation. (18%) among a college & air force trainee population. Also studied was the prevalence of contact between subjects and seriously suicidal individuals (59%). The authors discovered that subjects positive disposition to address the topic of suicide was inversely related to their own tendency to suicide and directly related to their chosen field of academic study.
