A summary of the occurrence of vomiting, agitation, seizures, sinus tachycardia & other arrhythmias in 28 cases of theophylline overdose is reported. Seizures & arrhythmias rarely occurred, but the presence of other signs were related to drug serum levels. Recommended treatment is aggressive gastrointestinal tract decontamination, regardless of time or amount of ingestion. (KSD)
