This manual has been compiled from material adapted and specifically developed for the Listeners’ Training Program, AID Service of Edmonton. It serves as the text for the course work presented. Topics covered include: a history of the organization, guidelines for listening, how to handle suicide calls, how to handle other “special calls” and helping agencies open to referrals in the Edmonton area.
