In order to allocate resources more effectively the Crisis Centre in Gainesville, Florida adopted a management system focussed on five service classifications: self-injury patients, crisis clients, active support clients, general support clients & single contact clients, with an appropriate recording & service strategy for the differing needs of each group. The results were positive in focusing time & energy where it was most needed. (GW)
