42 year-old woman with multiple manifestations of severe behavioral disturbances not responding to psychotherapy & drug therapy, successfully treated by 10 sessions of behavior therapy. Thought-stopping used to overcome auditory & visual hallucinations; & flooding to extinguish chronic fear-producing thoughts, depressive behavior & homicidal-suicidal attempts. Finally training in reciprocal reinforcement for shaping of family interpersonal relationships. 20-month follow-up showed no relapse.
