The Way of Suicide

This article discusses the First National Conference on Suicdology in the U.S. in 1968. The author notes that not much has changed in the field of suicidology since Freud convened the first symposium on suicide in 1910. However, 2 significant changes are the use of the psychological autopsy, & the implementation of suicide prevention centres & phone lines. (VM)
