Examination of the interrelationships between the high rate of suicide among the aged and their environment, particularly the nursing homes in which they reside. A S.A.S. (Skilled Nursing Facility) Staff Suicide Awareness Scale was designed to test whether these caregivers are attuned to the subintentional suicide tendencies of the patients. (KB)
