The results of a study of 179 psychiatrists, internists & psychologists regarding their experience with, & attitudes about, suicide are reported. A 56-item interview was administered to all three groups. Psychiatrists reported three times more suicide ideation than the other groups. Formal suicidology training was minimal for all three groups. Of the 179 respondents, 50 were interested in learning more about the AAS. (JHC)
