2 suicidal groups receiving mental health treatment (46 who had called a suicide service & 29 who were not known to the service) were compared on selected demographic & clinical information located in their psychiatric folders. 3 different suicide-potential scales were applied. The 2 groups did not differ demographically, but callers had significantly lower scores on 2 of the scales. Findings suggest that the callers represented a sample of somewhat lower suicide risk.
