Backgrounds and Suicidal Behaviours of Committed Suicides Among Kyoto University Students

Investigated 115 suicides during the past 20 yrs & reexamined the author’s ’72 & ’73 studies. Discovered significantly more cases of suicide among normal but alienated students in normal homes after the student strife of 1970 than before, & that the “ageneratic” performance type, having a desire to die young, had become dominant under the influence of a “private life style” after the strife, as opposed to an “egotic” or “dyadic” type, having desire to live forever, before the strife.
