In a 3X2X2 factorial design with repeated measures on the last factor, a suicide attempt, suicide ideation & nonsuicidal control group of psychiatric patients, divided into psychotic & neurotic subgroups, viewed 2 classes of slides-unpleasant and death slides. Partial confirmation was obtained for a hypothesis that psychotic patients would show less threat to death slides than neurotic ones. The hypothesis that suicidal patients would show more dislike for the death slides was not supported.(DD)
