Studies show that many people who have committed suicide have psychiatric disorders. This study tried to obtain suicide rates for specific disorders. The rates for depressives, manics, schizophrenics, paranoids, neurotics, personality disorders, alcoholics and organic disorders were compared. Depressive cases are the most prone to suicide and most of the suicides occur immediately after release from a hospital.
