Adolescents who attempted suicide; those referred for suicidal thoughts, threats & attempts, and those with only thoughts & threats were rated on 1250 variables. The results confirm some past findings and introduce new correlates of adolescent suicidal behavior. There is little difference between teenagers who attempt suicide & those who threaten it. The findings highlight the necessity of studying the sexes separately. (JDW)
