A Model for Suicide Prevention, Intervention and Postvention: The Alberta Task Force Proposals

After a literature review & an epidemiological study, the Task Force found many shortcomings in current efforts to prevent & intervene in suicide attempts. Their recommendations for change are detailed, including the need for a designated suicide center in each region of the province. Strategies for implementing the recommendations are reported, together with action taken so far toward achieving these goals.
