This is a review of existing pediatric crisis intervention, general family characteristics of child psychiatric emergency patients & typical problems found in the first family interview. Proposed are: a system of classification for child crisis intervention, a quick and thorough assessment, immediate intervention & practical techniques in moving from individual psychopathology to family dysfunctions.
