Using time series analysis, this study looks at relationship between domestic integration & suicide, in the US from 1933 to 1970. Found a 1% increase in divorce that is associated with a .14% increase in suicide. Describes the divorcee’s loss of regulating behavior, routine, & order in life resulting in increased social isolation & guilt. Having children decreased rate of suicide & unemployment increased suicide. Includes table of rates of unemployment, divorce, birth, and suicide. 38Ref (MF)
