Suicidal Potential Among Adolescents and Young Adults

Suicide trends among adolescents & young adults constitute a particularly serious concern for society. Unfortunately, many counselors lack specific training in this area, & in some instances societal attitudes about suicide have prevented counselors from introducing initiating students to this topic. Counselors, therefore, must educate themselves & then take steps to begin helping students with suicidal tendencies. Suggests a procedure. (6 ref)
