In a statistical study, the author makes the point that teen suicide attempts are seriously under-reported; may be as high as 100 to 1 completed suicide. Attempters come from disorganized homes, stresses the need for aftercare. Good education as to suicidal symptoms will do much for prevention. The author also provides a complete examination of the demographics of suicide attempters in New York City. (JH)
