WHO-EURO: Emphasis on Self-Help

A brief look at recommendations emanating from WHO’s 6th Gen. Programme of Work. Professional & Lay Consultants considered: scope of self help in European Region, outcomes expected from newly planned programmes and policies to year 2000. Discusses difficulties of taxonomy which is seen as reflection of early growth stages, expansion & integration & role in community development. Also stresses needs for new research and education of professionals in topic. (BS)
