Assessing Paraprofessional Competence With the Suicide Intervention Response Inventory

Reports the development and validation of the 25-item Suicide Intervention Response Inventory, a self-administered questionnaire designed to assess the paraprofessional’s ability to select an appropriate response to the self-destructive client. Results from 155 subjects (aged 13-75 years) demonstrate the measure’s high internal consistency and test-retest reliability.
