This paper describes the impact of a child’s suicide upon the surviving family members. Although suicide is a leading cause of death between the ages of 15 to 19, incidence figures on childhood suicide probably understate the actual rate. The dynamics of a suicidal act are multidimensional and there is often a need for therapeutic intervention to assist the suicide’s survivors.
