Sims M
Unpublished detailed data on suicide & accidental poisoning from the Ontario Statistical Division, Office of the Registrar General for 1950-1969 provided the basis for this study. Suicide rates have increased from the earliest base for all age groups. Findings also include: poison suicides have increased greatly particularly for adults 30 & over; carbon monoxide suicides have increased for males, as have violent suicides for males under 30. Risks of alcohol-drug use are also discussed.
