110 women aged 18-30 who had survived a drug overdose were divided into 3 groups, based on the lethality of the attempt. High lethality subjects were more often not in a relationship; reported little alcohol use; had recent psychiatric contact; had taken more than 20 caps (mostly antidepressants); had high suicidal intent & hopelessness; and trends toward high socio-economic status; toward less history of violence; toward schizoid personality traits & to report less death anxiety.(RA)
