This study compared the effects of a regular out-patient clinic program and the regular program plus home visits and emergency service on the parasuicidal behavior of former suicide attempters. No difference between the 2 programs was found for the likelihood of repeating. Significant predictors of future suicidal behavior included alcohol abuse and being single. (KD)
