Centre for Suicide Prevention Announces Mara Grunau, MPA, as Director of Education

The Centre for Suicide Prevention (CSP) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mara Grunau, BEd, MPA as Director of Education. Ms. Grunau will lead CSP’s suicide prevention information and educational services for communities across Canada.
 
For the past 30 years the Centre for Suicide Prevention has provided suicide prevention education through the Canadian Mental Health Association. In recent years CSP has developed original programs that have included: Tattered Teddies suicide prevention in children, Straight Talk, suicide prevention in youth, and River of Life, CSP’s culturally-sensitive aboriginal youth suicide prevention program.
 
Today, the Centre is being called upon to help diverse communities and agencies address the dilemma and complexities of suicide. CSP will continue to utilize its information and training services as creatively as possible in response to these direct community requests. Mara’s experience in education and public administration is welcomed in today’s challenging climate.
