Here at CSP we’re always adding new materials to our exclusively suicide-related library! This summer we’ve added two free online resources about aboriginal suicide prevention. All week, CSP has been attending Aboriginal Awareness Week Calgary events. Today, Diane Yackel, Executive Director and Mara Grunau, Education Director listened to Aboriginal Relations Minister Robin Campbell as he addressed the Calgary Chamber of Commerce.
CSP was happy to attend the Aboriginal Awareness Week Opening Ceremony at Olympic Plaza June 17. The ceremony honoured Mother Earth, with speakers including the Honourable Mayor Naheed Nenshi, Chief Roy Whitney, Elder Victoria Aberdeen Crowchild and Keynote Elder Dave Courchene.
